These terms govern your use of the Mr. Grummel app ("the app", "we" — during development also called LearnBlocker). By using the app you agree to them.
1. What Mr. Grummel is
Mr. Grummel is a self-directed focus and learning tool: you choose apps to limit, and the app asks you quiz questions before letting you continue. It is a motivational aid, not a security product or parental-control service — determined users (including you) can bypass it, and we make no guarantee that any app is technically inaccessible.
2. Accounts
You may use the app with an anonymous account or create a full account with an email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Profile → Delete Account; deletion is permanent.
3. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to disrupt or overload our infrastructure, no automated scraping of question content, and no unlawful, misleading, or abusive content in subject requests. We may remove requests or restrict accounts that violate this.
4. User content
Subject requests and votes you submit may be shown to other users (without your identity) and used to decide what curriculum to build. You grant us a non-exclusive right to use that content to operate and improve the service.
5. Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription, billed through the App Store or Google Play under their terms. Prices and trial terms are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your store account settings; cancelling takes the same few taps as subscribing did. Refunds are handled by the store.
6. Educational content
Quiz questions are provided for general learning purposes. Some are drafted with the help of AI tools and reviewed before publication. We work to keep them accurate but make no warranty that all content is error-free, and the app is not a substitute for professional education or advice.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the same extent, our liability for damages arising from use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim; nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or release notes with an updated date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. Contact and governing law
Questions: salkev@gmx.net. These terms are governed by Swiss law; mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in remain unaffected.
